Overview
VITAL Shift Creative is Melissa Kelley’s coaching, event planning, and performance-art business. The work spans 1-on-1 coaching, a group program called Shift U., full-scale event production, and performance art. I led creative direction, design, and the full build, shaping a single site that holds a wide range of offerings under one calm, cohesive brand.
The Challenge
A personal-brand practice this varied risks reading as scattered. The site had to make three different services feel like one coherent offering, communicate a warm and intimate tone without losing professional credibility, and make it effortless for the right person to reach out. Above all it had to put Melissa, the reason clients come, at the center.
Approach
- One brand, three doors. Coaching, Event Planning, and Performing are presented as equal, clearly described paths from the very first screen, so visitors self-select quickly.
- The person is the pitch. A dedicated “Meet Melissa” section builds the personal trust that coaching and event work depend on.
- Proof in their words. A generous wall of client “Love Notes” from across the country and beyond turns testimonials into the main persuasion.
- A calm, confident aesthetic. An elegant purple and mauve palette with expressive script type signals creativity and warmth while staying easy to read.
- One obvious next step. Contact and mailing-list calls to action recur throughout, so reaching out is always a click away.
Design and Build
The design leans into a soft, feminine palette of deep purple and mauve over light, airy layouts, pairing an expressive script display face with clean body type for a tone that is both creative and trustworthy. It runs on WordPress with the Astra theme and Elementor Pro, so Melissa can update programs, events, and testimonials herself, and it is tuned for fast loads and full responsiveness across devices.

The site is live at vitalshiftcreative.com, giving VITAL Shift Creative a cohesive home that unifies a multi-faceted practice, centers its founder, and turns visitors into conversations.
